Safety

We understand that a private jet is only a luxury if it’s safe. We are a company focused on safety first and price second.

Stringent vendor standards

Private Jet Professionals is responsible for ensuring that any outside charter operator used meets the very stringent safety, operations, and maintenance standards.

This assurance to our standard is conducted through regularly scheduled in-depth audits and evaluations, and continuous monitoring of vendor and vendor crew member safety and compliance to regulatory requirements.

We audit and select our charter operators based on a number of factors, including the safety record of the company, their maintenance programs, the training of their Pilots, and the age of the aircraft. Only the crew and specific aircraft that meet our standards become part of our network. We do not approve every Pilot and/or aircraft from every specific vendor.

The standards for our approved operators are so rigorous that very few meet our requirements and less than 10% of all jet aircraft operators in service today have been approved. Therefore, all Private Jet Professionals flights are operated under a set of standards that far exceed those set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any other charter broker or operator in the industry.

We also require all operators to employ full-time Maintenance Directors and to manage and oversee a training program for all maintenance personnel under their employment. Any subcontractors they employ must also meet these same strict standards.

We ensure that each flight we book meets the trip requirements established by the WYVERN in The Wingman Standard. This is an industry-leading safety standard that far exceeds the minimum regulatory requirements for air charter and was developed by WYVERN in cooperation with the industry’s largest flight departments and charter buyers. I only use ARGUS, WYVERN and ISBAO safety rated planes.

ARGUS

ARGUS Charter Operator Ratings are the industry’s most respected, recognized, and requested symbol of the highest quality commercial operators around the world.

The ARGUS Ratings due diligence system offers commercial operators, buyers of charter and passengers around the world the confidence and peace-of-mind desired for their upcoming flight. With over 500 rated operators around the world and spanning 6 continents, ARGUS Rated Operators fly more hours each year than non-ARGUS Rated operators.

WYVERN

Since 1991, WYVERN established itself as a global leader in risk assessment data and audit services. Over the years, it has provided safety intelligence data and onsite risk assessments to the business and private aviation communities. The most safety-forward organizations in the industry choose their proprietary intelligence resources to make risk-based decisions in rapidly-changing markets and business environments, worldwide. They continue to set the standard for air charter operators around the globe and protect the integrity of what we’ve built. WYVERN also has a global presence with affiliates and auditors in every major market.

IS-BAO

IS-BAO is an industry standard built for operators, by operators that provides standards based on the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS). Both the FAA and CAA in Canada recognize IS-BAO as meeting the ICAO standard. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) also recognizes IS-BAO as an industry standard for business aircraft operations.

Pilot requirements

  • Every pilot is required to exceed the training standards set forth by the FAA for charter flights.
  • We require a minimum of 3,500 flight hours for captains and 2,500 hours for first officers. The average number of flight hours for our pilots exceeds 9,600.
  • Both the captain and first officer must hold Airline Transport Pilot and First Class Medical Certificates.
  • All pilots MUST receive advanced simulator training twice a year at industry-leaders FlightSafety International.

To achieve certified ARGUS status, Operators must undergo a thorough review of their flight data, documentation, and practices – which is carried out by ARGUS.

Part 135 aircraft operators

At Private Jet Professionals, we only provide charter on Part 135 aircraft in the USA, to ensure our passengers are receiving the safest and most reliable private jet service available. All trips will be screened with a PASS report ensuring the crew and plane meet the highest Part 135 requirements

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants the authority to operate on-demand, unscheduled air service in the form of Part 135 certificate. Air carriers authorized to operate with a 135 certificate vary from small single aircraft operators to large operators. Many Part 135 operators offer critical passenger and cargo service to remote areas, providing a lifeline to populations that would not otherwise exist. All Part 135 air carriers are required to have a FAA approved hazardous materials (dangerous goods) program. This program must cover all aspects of the acceptance and transportation process, as well as training for all employees.
